Good Music

Theres a lot of music out there. theres everything from country to rap to metal.my favorite kind of music is rock and i totally HATE rap.lol sorry to all you rap fans.music is a really powerful thing.it can make you go from super hyper to pathetically depressed in about 3 minutes.this is why you have to be uber(yes.i just said uber)careful when u listen to music because it gets in your head and it stays there forever.example:i've met christian adults who used to listen to secular(another word for "not christian")music and when they hear those songs today they still remeber the lyrics perfectly.a lot of teens think that just becasue they listen to music with bad lyrics it doesnt mean that they're gunna do bad stuff.YES IT DOES! you may not realize it now but one day you're gunna do something you really regret and i'll tell you this:it prob is because of the music you've been listening to.music influences us all.the question is,is it a good influence or a bad one?so this week think about it and examine ur cds and whats on ur ipod.

DONT GIVE UP!!!!

PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ!!!!! DONT GIVE UP!!! dont give up on your friends, yourself, and more importantly god.believe it or not he's there.he's waiting for u.u may be thinking, well how could he have let this happen?or,why is he so far away?well guess wat.he isnt far away.he's right there.you're the one who has moved away from him.all u have to do is seek him out because when u do,i PROMISE u that u will find more peace, more joy,and more strength.im not saying ur life will be a walk in the park.no way.but when u get tempted or attacked u'll have the power to stand strong in jesus.he will never leave u nor forsake u.“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11) if your're the person having problems then memorize this verse.

New Years Resolution/Ben Stein

well first i'd like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!! :) i dont know if you guys have made a new years resolution yet but i hadn't until a few days ago.simply cause i just hadn't thought about it at all.but i was listening to this REALLY good song called State of Mind by a great christian rock band called 38th Parallel.all of u need to look that song up and listen to it cause its just really great.so anyway i was listening to it an just doin a lot of nothingness and i heard one line that really caught my attention.it said "resolution "know You".and i thought, wow.thats exactly what i need to be doing.so this year and for all the years of my life my new years resolution will be to get closer and closer to God. how bout u people?wat r some of your new years resolutions?maybe u wanna do the same as me and just get closer to God.or maybe you're not even saved and yours is to study a lil more or loose soe weight.u might be in a fight with a friend(or freinds) or a parent.well whatever it is just know that God will ALWAYS be there for u.just ask him for help.

now i wanna talk bout something i got in an email.i dont know if u know who ben stein is but he is a jewish man and he studies politics and ecomonics.he actually just starred in a movie called Expelled.i saw it with my dad along with some other people.it was pretty interesting.aaaannnnyyywaaaaay...im gunna post a little speach he gave on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary:
My confession: I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees. It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away. I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat. Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.. In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking. Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?' In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK. Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK. Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.' Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace. Are you laughing yet? Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us. Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in. My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully, Ben Stein

i LOVE ben stein for writing this.it is so unbelievably true.u may be one of those "politically correct" people so u may be furious about wat he said but i thats exactly what i love about him.he doesn't care if he isnt politically correct.he's all about wats really true and right.hes not exactly a conformist.lol.when i say that i mean he doesnt mind being different in the sense that when all those people who hate truth bash him he doesnt really mind.he puts things so plainly.well thats what i have to say about that.i hope u guys realize what he was saying.got any comments bout it?let me know.
